Northerner Emma Swan is a presenter, comedian and actor. Emma has worked extensively in theatre, TV and radio and has just finished a tour of 'The Merchant of Venice' with The Royal Shakespeare Company. She is just about to star in a West End production of Horrible Histories.
Emma has voiced prime-time terrestrial TV shows and presented radio shows. Emma also narrates audio dramas and audiobooks and was nominated for Audible's Narrator of the Year in 2017.
Comedy seems to be in her blood as her grandparents were a double act that toured the country called 'Tommy and Sylvia Snapp'. Emma's own musical comedy duo 'Hadfield and Swan' comments on the lives of two northern millennials living in London and they won Best Newcomer at the Musical Comedy Awards 2019. Their debut song 'Silence' reached over 100,000 people online and was played on radio stations across the UK.
Emma is currently writing the scripts for her musical comedy sitcom 'Tap' and radio drama 'Grin and Bear It'. Emma studied English, Spanish and French at the University of St Andrews before going to drama school in London. She is happiest writing and performing comedy songs, devising work for children and is at her best after multiple cups of Yorkshire tea!
