Dr. Priya Gopaldas made her debut on our television screens as a bombshell on Love Island in 2021, serving not only beauty but brains as well. Since leaving the island, Dr. Priya has been going from peak to peak, and she’s not about to stop…
Quickly returning back to medical school after finishing the show, Dr. Priya has been working on the frontlines as an NHS doctor and tackling the rush of A&E. But as a thrill seeker, the hospital isn’t the only place she gets her pump of adrenaline.
Dr. Priya loves a challenge and sinking her teeth into a huge fitness related project. Her passion for running has supercharged her to the big leagues as she has now transformed into an ultra-marathon runner. She regularly flies overseas to take on the longest and toughest marathons in the world.
Not only this, but more recently, she has focused on mountaineering and high-altitude climbing. Despite living with the chronic lung condition, Bronchiectasis, she has successfully summited Mont Blanc, Kilimanjaro and Mera Peak, and reached Aconcagua (just under 7,000m). In 2026 Priya took on her biggest challenges so far in climbing Lenin Peak (a 7,000m mountain) in July/August, followed by Manaslu (an 8,000m mountain) in October, however she was forced to abandon both climbs due to safety and avalanches risks. But despite the dangers of her expeditions Priya is still hopeful to reach her biggest height as she takes on Everest in 2027.
It’s her epic determination and inner strength that has made Priya much sought-after for collaborations with household brands. From national press covering her marathons to high profile leading fitness brands working with her, Dr. Priya is an inspirational, all round content creator who appeals to a wide demographic.
In addition, her medical expertise makes her ideal for nationwide campaigns – having worked with Lung and Asthma UK to spread awareness about lung illnesses, and, the government for the Online Safety Act – and she is also an advocate for women’s health. She has a wealth of broadcasting and media experience, whether that’s on the pages of Cosmopolitan UK or on-screen including Lorraine, BBC’s Panorama and Sky News.
